School is finally over for the summer. :) It's been a little over a week since finals ended. (I've been catching up on a lot of lost sleep this past week! At one point during finals weeks I had had only 15 hours of sleep in 72 hours. I have no idea how I was still functioning.)
Alyssa and I got all but one of our Gen Eds done in the past two semesters. And, apparently, that's one of the hardest ways to go about doing your Gen Eds. Who knew? She and I figured that it was just normal for the work to be that hard and frustrating. We knew that the Lord was the only way we were making it through. Now that we know that this was a hard way to go about this, it's hit more how the Lord was the only way we made it through.
This reminded me of how easy it can be to forget that we can do nothing on our own. Without the Lord, we are helpless. With this realization, 2 Corinthians 12.9 becomes even more comforting. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Also, Philippians 4:13 becomes more precious. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We serve a gracious and giving Lord :)
